GSR made a tremendous impact by providing rooms for the Las Vegas Battle Born Veteran Hockey players so they could participate in the Battle 4 Nevada Veterans Hockey Game against our very own local Reno Raider Battalion Veteran Hockey team during the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Weekend on Ice with the Reno Ice Raiders.

As Veteran players proudly brought their families to share in the experience, GSR stepped up once again — delivering additional rooms so our Veterans and their families could be part of this unforgettable weekend.

And behind it all was Brett Kuhnsman, our point of contact at GSR, whose dedication and effort made it all happen. Brett’s commitment ensured every detail came together seamlessly, giving our Veterans and their families the chance to shine.

Because of their support, our Veterans showcased their camaraderie and team spirit in front of a sold out crowd, inspiring the community and reminding us all of the power of service, unity, and resilience.

Thank you to the Reno Ice Raiders Hockey Team for making the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Weekend on Ice a complete success! ✨

This two‑day celebration honored our nation’s Veterans with unforgettable hockey. On Friday night and Saturday night, the Reno Ice Raiders faced off against the team from Bozeman, dedicating both games to our Veterans and proudly wearing military‑style uniforms to honor their service and sacrifice.

Before Saturday’s Raider game, the spotlight belonged to our Veterans as the Battle 4 Nevada Veterans Hockey Game brought together the Reno Raider Battalion Veterans Hockey Team and the Las Vegas Battle Born Veterans Hockey Team. In front of a sold‑out arena — the largest crowd most of our Veterans have ever played before — these Warriors displayed courage, camaraderie, and resilience, reminding us all of the enduring power of service and unity.

None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary partnership between NNVA and the Reno Ice Raiders Hockey Team. Your commitment has transformed Veterans Day Weekend on Ice into a tradition that uplifts families, inspires our community, and celebrates the proud legacy of service.

We are especially grateful to Jess Peterson, (Peterson Wealth Management),  Co‑Owner of the Reno Ice Raiders  whose incredible support made Veterans Day Weekend on Ice possible. Jess’s dedication to our Veterans and his unwavering support for the military embody the very spirit of service and community that this event represents. Out of this partnership, the Battle 4 Nevada was born — a living tradition that will now be celebrated twice each year, during Veterans Day Weekend and Memorial Day Weekend. Together, we ensure that the sacrifice and service of our Veterans will always be remembered, and that their strength and unity will continue to inspire generations.
