Brig Gen Duane Lodrige, USAF (Ret.), will recount his harrowing experience leading a Washington, D.C.–based F-16 squadron in the anguished hours following 9/11—a story of courage under fire, the burden of command, and the unwavering spirit of those who stand watch when our nation needs them most.
